Memorial Bench

Memorial Bench

The Parish Council and Harborough District Council have funded a new bench in memory of the 100 years since the end of WW1 and the centenary of votes for women.

Remembrance Sunday 2018

Remembrance Sunday 2018
All villagers are invited to a gathering around the new bench at
the south end of the village at 10.50 am.
A member of the Parish Council will say a few words before the
two minute silence at 11am followed by a reading of 'Anthem
for Doomed Youth' by Wilfred Owen and then the planting of
an elm to further mark the occasion.

Police and Crime Survey Youth Commission Members

The Police and Crime Commissioner's Youth Commission Members have launched a Police and Crime Survey and want to hear from young people aged 11-25 about crime and policing in their area. The information provided by young people will help to shape the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan and feedback will help to improve policies and services. Please be aware that on Friday 21st September 2018 between 9-30am and 12-30 midday two houses on Main Street, near to phone box, were broken into. These follow on from a burglary at Countesthorpe around the same time using the same method and point of entry. Thefts of metal from Churches

Message from Inspector Gavin Drummond

Dear Parish Chairs and Clerks,

Over the past few days we have seen an increase in rural churches being targeted whereby their lead roofs have been stripped and stolen.

Specifically, we have seen offences across areas such as Ashby Magna, Theddingworth, Arnesby and Peatling Parva.
